The recently launched Fullertrain Training Academy was brought about by the recognised need, in the truck industry, for the establishment of service excellence at the grass roots level of the industry.

Why was the Fullertrain Training Academy launched?
Due to the ever changing technical developments in the American product within the South African truck industry, the need to ensure that the correct technical expertise was made available to ALL within the industry prompted the establishment of the Fullertrain Training Academy. Procedures in the maintenance and repair of the current product have changed over earlier product and these changes need to be recognised.
What do the Fullertrain Training Academy courses cover?
Two courses are currently available through the Fullertrain Training Academy:
Course One – covers the Eaton Solo Advantage clutch and the electrical fault diagnosis on the Eaton Autoshift transmission. The operation, maintenance and installation procedures of the Eaton Solo Advantage clutch as well as fault diagnosis on both the Eaton Solo Advantage clutch and Eaton Autoshift transmission are covered.
Course Two – covers the installation, maintenance and fault diagnosis procedures of the Eaton Solo Advantage clutch as well as the strip and re-assembly of the Eaton Autoshift transmission.
Both courses cover theoretical as well as practical instruction.
Who are the training courses directed at?
The training courses are aimed at ALL within the South African trucking industry as well as anyone coming into the industry. Students that are completing their courses at a technical institute and intend coming into the industry; apprentices enrolled within a structured apprenticed programme; trained technicians currently employed within the transport sector as well as technical personnel employed in varying positions within the transport industry.
When are courses conducted by the Fullertrain Training Academy?
Due the depth of the course contents, each course is held over two days.
Eaton trained personnel were found to be the best solution to present these technical courses such that the correct methodology in all repairs was followed. To this end the Fullertrain Training Academy courses are being presented by an ex Eaton employee with 25 years of Eaton product experience.
